Vacation . . .

We had an unexpected gift given to us this week. We've been given the opportunity to stay in a wonderful townhouse right near the water at Mexico Beach, Florida. It couldn't have come at a better time for all of us. 

We received a letter in the mail last week stating that our insurance company WILL NOT cover Marci's needed hearing surgery. (We are in the process of appealing that decision now.) And Bruce's 50th birthday is today! We were wondering how we could celebrate this momentous occasion without spending much money, when some wonderful friends offered us the use of this beautiful house. 

We are enjoying our time away from the "normal" daily routine. Even though the weather has been a little cool here, it's still been warm enough to spend time at the beach. Yesterday we were there for several hours and Marci enjoyed jumping in the waves and building sand castles. 

We all have a little sunburn today, so we'll be heading out to see the sights in the neighboring towns. I'll try to update this blog again later this week. In the meantime, would you please pray for our insurance company to reconsider their decision? We believe Marci needs this hearing surgery (see my last blog update), and we will not be able to cover the costs if our insurance company doesn't cover part of it. 

But then again, we know our God is greater...and He has all the resources in the world...so we continue to trust in Him and believe that He will provide everything we need.
