| Waiting for his surgery. |
First of all, Marc had his implant surgery on August 9th and came through it with flying colors! He only had a slight amount of pain the first few nights, and so the large bottle of liquid pain medication sits with only an ounce of it used up! We praise God for that blessing. We were prepared for days of pain, but our little trooper was up and running around within 24 hours of the surgery!
Yesterday we went to the doctor for Marc's follow-up visit. He looked at his incisions and declared him ready to receive his new hearing aids/processors immediately! We are SO thrilled!

Right now we are dealing with the HUGE hospital bill. We were told it would cost us $9,000 for his surgery, but that they would deduct 20% because we were paying out-of-pocket. Unfortunately, the woman in the billing department who told me she was giving me the "bottom line", apparently did not! The bill came to $61, 664.25!!!
Yesterday I sent in the financial aid forms they asked us to complete. We are praying for favor with the committee that reviews these applications. In all things we trust the Lord for His will to be done. We know He has a plan for Marc, and for our family. We are not worried. I'm excited to be able to share with you what the outcome will be. God's ways are always better than ours, so we know He has this under control.
I will do my best to try to update the blog again tomorrow or Friday. I know many of you will want to see pictures of Marc with his new hearing devices. Thank you again for continuing on this journey with us. You've hung in there for a long time and we appreciate it!
