How quickly things change...

It was only three days ago I updated this blog, but so much has happened in the past three days, I just had to post again! 

The paperwork I mentioned in the last post arrived today in the mail! We have the last piece of paper we were waiting on in order to be free to travel on the 14th! Please praise the Lord with us. I had contacted the USCIS office on Tuesday of this week and they said they had no record of the paperwork being received in their offices as of yet. However, the approval date that's listed on our approval letter is dated March 27th (Tuesday)! So apparently the paperwork was completed but just not updated in their system when I called. Don't you just love that? God had it all under control and knew that it was already on its way to us. (I love how He cares for His children!)

Something I had not mentioned in my last post (because I didn't want to overwhelm you with additional information) was that we'd been informed this past Monday that we'd need to rent a larger apartment for our stay there. The Budapest officials are cracking down on certain things pertaining to adoptions there, and one of them is that the families need to stay in at least a one or two bedroom apartment. We realized that the amount of money we had set aside for the apartment would not be adequate to cover a larger unit. So we began praying for God to provide it.

Little did we know that some dear friends of ours had already sent a check to Lifesong for Orphans, and it was for the amount of extra money we'll need to cover the larger rental unit! We didn't find that out until Thursday of this week when we received the weekly update from Lifesong. What a blessing it was to know that God had already provided that money as well! 

We serve an awesome and amazing God! We have seen HIS hand at work through this entire adoption process....from the monies that have come in, to the paperwork arriving in time, to Bruce being able to roll-over his vacation time from last year (so he will be getting paid the entire time we're away!), to people's hearts being moved to be a part of our journey (through prayer, money, clothing & toys given, beds donated, etc.). Every bit of it has the hand of our Almighty God written all over it! Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude and awe tonight. 


So...two weeks from today we will begin our 24-hour journey to Budapest. There is much for both of us to do to get ready to go, so please continue to pray for wisdom for us both to know how to spend the hours in each day to accomplish all that God would have us get done.
